they are all good. however i rather go with the ps3 over the 360. way better graphics card and you get a blue ray. however my favorite is the wii. you are not a huge gamer you said so i would say it would be best. it is great for all ages. and great for multi play with or without internet. wii sports does get boring unless you have friends to play with. even now i enjoy wii bowling both the 10 frame and the 91 pin, but not when alone. there are other games like mario kart, mario galaxy, need for speed games, shooter games, they all look pretty good on the wii as well. if it is just you and you are not worried about having friends over to play then maybe the ps3 or 360. find out what games you would like to get and play and if they have it on the wii go for it. not that much different. just the controls. wii you can use old gamecube games with it too. and also they have a varity of controls and stuff to get for it. from older classic controls, to steering wheels and zappers, the wii is more geard towards family and younger kids. however they did a good job with some older people games too. graphics are not great but not bad either.

my preferance also would be a wii if you have a good computer as well. i love all kinds of games. shooters and sports mostly. most of those games i can play on my computer and i like much more on it then any system, for graphics as well as i like the mouse and keyboard. my wii i like to play games like wii sports and mario kart and other ones when i have friends over. or with my kids. the 2 together is a great combo. and if you dont have the pc then later on maybe. and the wii is still fun. now they are making channels and all that you can buy so that you can do much more with the wii anyways. you can download new titles and older classic titles now with it without buying cds. anyways good luck.

start out with looking at the games you want and seeing what platform they are for. and then going from there.

It all goes down to what kind of player you are. If you like to have fun with your family and/or friends then Wii is the best console. And it is very good in it :)

PS3 and Xbox are good for hardcore players.

There are also some excelent hardcore games for Wii, for example Resident Evil, but they are just not as many as for the other two consoles. So first decide what kind of games you like and what player you are and then decide.

Perfect solution would be to have two: Wii and PS3/Xbox :)
